Quantum Information in Braunschweig |
|||||||||||||
This is the home page of a research group lead by Reinhard F. Werner, based in the Institute for Mathematical Physics at the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany).
The aim of this group is to clarify the basic structures relevant to quantum information theory, and to provide tools for a rigorous quantitative theory of concepts such as quantum and classical capacity of quantum channels, and entanglement of states on composite quantum systems.
If you want to find out what this is all about, follow the buttons at the top of this page to an Introduction, with additional material. See also our link collection on the subject, our papers and, if you are looking for a challenge, our problem page.
The current literature and the progress of our own projects are discussed in weekly meetings of the group, to which guests are always welcome. Moreover, we are part of the A2 Quanten Information Consortiums a regular seminar of quantum information theory groups in Northern Germany. Nationally, we are participating in the research effort "Quantum Information Processing", supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG; roughly: German National Science Foundation), and on the European scale in the program Quantum Information Processing & Communications (QIPC) in the 5th Framework Programme of the European Commission (Project EQUIP).
