Problem
The 'Nice HTML' version of the problem pages is generated from the LaTeX source by Ian Hutchinson's TTH. This TeX to HTML translator makes use of e. g. HTML tables and symbol font to display mathematics as generic HTML (no embedded gifs).
Unfortunately, several browser/operating system combinations have difficulties to access the symbol font. This results in mathematical expressions displayed improperly, with parts missing and/or distorted. For a test page and further information, see the TTH documentation [1].

Partial Solutions
Ian Hutchinson provides several work arounds for different browsers:
The first thing to do is set your browser to "use document fonts'' or "Allow documents to use other fonts'' [1]. If this does not fix the problem, please see the respective web pages for

Solution
Not yet fully available. Hopefully, all major browsers will implement MathML eventually, providing a generic way to render mathematical expressions.
