Chronology

• A Computer Science Coordinator was established and CSCI courses started.
• President Evans created the Department of Computer Science in January 1983.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science was approved by Chancellor's office during Winter 1983.
• First graduates in June 1983.
• The Department's name was changed to Department of Computer Science and Engineering on Feb 8, 2008.
