This is a message that we originally sent about one month ago. The response
to it has been so overwhelming that we are sending it out again.

Almost one year ago we asked members of the Software Productivity Centre
and Internet bulletin boards if anybody knew about tools using
pre-formatted templates to document the software development process. The
only replies we got were "let us know when you found one". Well, we didn't
find one, so we set out to develop a series of templates for our members.

Our soft copy documentation templates are now complete and have created a
lot of interest from both companies wishing to use it for their
documentation process and universities interested in using it as a teaching
tool. The templates are compatible with IEEE standards and meet the
requirements under ISO-9001 for a documented quality process. Version 2.0
of the documentation system (ProDoc) includes:

Development Plan, Initial Requirements Specification, Detailed Requirements
Specification, and Quality Plan. ProDoc comes with built in 'pop-up'
guides, a full set of example documents, and a Handbook to Systems
Development Documentation. If you are interested in getting more
information about ProDoc, send us a response with your name, company, and
the platform on which you create word processed documentation.

Who we are:

The Software Productivity Centre (SPC) is a non-profit organization with
the mandate to assist software developers to improve their software
engineering process. We are based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and have 96
member companies in Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
