Up, but not receiving any newsfeed (yet). The 10GB drive came in a week or
two ago, but the IBM rs6000 did not enjoy its new found friend. AIX
will not install on such a disk. The solution was to trade the 10GB
drive for 2 2.1GB drives, and another 2.1 sometime in the future.
I had to reformat one of the drives, and at the moment I am stuck
until I get familiar with AIX's _very_strange File System.

It looks like we will *not* be holding the entire, uncensored feed
due to disk space. news.csusb.edu will hold all of the comp.* heirarchies,
along with most of the rec.* and a couple others including a large chunk
of the alt.* groups.

I am setting a deadline of the start of the Fall quarter for the news server
to be considered permanant. Until then, and especially for the next few weeks,
the news server be considered as "volatile", meaning I (or it by itself;)
may dismember itself from the net at any moment. Aside from this, feel free
to post to any of the csusb.* groups, and please give me suggestions as to
particular groups of interest (including csusb.*), and/or how you would like
use those particular csusb.* groups.
