Thre are two ways to access the California election returns on the
Internet
on Tuesday, June 7.

1) Gopher directly by typing in gopher caelections.advantis.com and
select
from the menu:

ABO About this Server
AG Attorney General
BOE Board of Equalization
CON State Controller
CTY County Name
GOV Governor
INS Insurance Commissioner
LG Lieutenant Governor
PRO Ballot Propositions
RPT Reporting Summary
SEC Secretary of State
SUP Superintendent of Public Instruction
TRE State Treasurer
US U.S. Senator

2) Access the University of Minnesota, select "Other Gopher and
Information
Servers," then select all the gopher servers in the world. Locate the
Advantis Global Network Services and you should see the California
Election
Night gopher server.

Users can access the gopher service for testing beginning Saturday,
June 4.
They will first see in an introductory message that explains the
other
election night services provided by the Secretary of State's office
and
describes the statewide tabulation process. Results will be reported
for the
statewide races and propositions only; vote totals will begin to
appear
shortly after the polls close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The server will
be
available for viewing election results for the rest of the week.
