This document should be viewable by Windows 3.1, Windows NT, and OS/2 2.x (and possibly other operating systems with the appropriate special software). Here's the description from the accompanying text file: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Demo for the latest electronic book published by OmniMedia, "The Devil's Dictionary," (Condensed Version) by Ambrose Bierce. It is in Windows 3.1 Help format, so it can be viewed under Windows 3.1, OS/2 2.x, Windows NT, Excel for the Macintosh, and possibly some other operating systems that have software to read Windows Help files. "The Devil's Dictionary" is considered Bierce's most famous work, and is exceptionally entertaining and humorous -- it is best described as the "Cynic's Bible" par excellence. The full commercial version (containing 623 total definitions, the Demo has 92) is quite attractively priced and can be purchased from OmniMedia. This Demo is freeware and can be distributed far and wide; please upload it to your favorite BBS sites and distribute it among all your friends -- everyone will be glad you did!
