Hi! We are preparing a course of SGML in our laboratory and now seeking
information about SGML. We have standards and many Technical Reports, but
we need tutorial material to give to students for reading.

I have pointed these books:

/1/	Eric van Herwijnen, Practical SGML, Kluwer Academic Publishers
(1990)

/2/	Martin Bryan, An Author’s Guide to the Standard Generalized
Markup Language, Addison Wesley (1988), ISBN 0-201-17535-5

/3/	Joan M Smith, The Standard Generalized Markup Language and Related
Issues, British National Bibliography Research Fund Report 22, British
Library (1987), ISBN 0-7123-3082-8, ISSN 0264-2972

/4/	Joan M Smith, The Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML):
Guidelines for Editors and Publishers, British National Bibliography
Research Fund Report 26, British Library (1987), ISBN 0-7123-3112-5, ISSN
0264-2972

/5/	Joan M Smith, The Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML):
Guidelines for Authors, British National Bibliography Research Fund Report
27, British Library (1987), ISBN 0-7123-3112-3, ISSN 0264-2972

/6/	SGML Products (European Edition), ed. Joan M Smith, CALS in Europe
Special Interest Group (November 1990)

/7/	SGML User’s Group Bulletin

Any comments about these and new suggestions for other sources (also with
ftp) are happily welcomed.

Thanks.

Pertti M{kitalo
