Abstract

My independent study involved learning Java Web Programming by studying Java Web Programming with Eclipse by David Turner and Jinseok Chae.  In addition to completing the work suggested in the book, I also assisted Dr. Turner in moving the book contents from HTML into Latex for generation of a PDF version of the book.    The book covers JSP, simple news feed application, MYSQL database server, web services and other topics such as web security.  During my presentation I will discuss some of the topics that the book covered.  I will also discuss about some of the latex commands that I used to produce the PDF version of the book.
