You may retrieve directories as `tar' format files or compressed `tar' images. You must use `binary' mode for this to work and then: ftp> get .tar will transfer a `tar' image of the contents of the directory `' and: ftp> get .tar.Z will transfer a compressed `tar' image of the requested directory. Note that you may not request any of the top level directories in this manner (ie., you cannot request the entire archive in one go). ============================================================================ Oxford University Computing Laboratory, 11 Keble Road, Oxford, OX1 3QD, UK From rbotting@wiley.csusb.edu Thu May 19 12:00 PDT 1994 Return-Path: Received: from wiley.csusb.edu by silicon.csci.csusb.edu (5.0/SMI-SVR4) id AA27648; Thu, 19 May 94 12:00:28 PDT Received: by wiley.csusb.edu (5.67a/1.34) id AA14094; Thu, 19 May 1994 12:00:28 -0700 Date: Thu, 19 May 1994 12:00:28 -0700 From: rbotting@wiley.csusb.edu ("Dr. Richard Botting") Message-Id: <199405191900.AA14094@wiley.csusb.edu> To: dick@silicon.csci.csusb.edu Subject: (fwd) TrueType Z Font on PRG archive server Newsgroups: comp.specification.z Content-Type: text Content-Length: 1759 Status: R Newsgroups: comp.specification.z Path: csus.edu!decwrl!hookup!swrinde!gatech!howland.reston.ans.net!pipex!uknet!comlab.ox.ac.uk!elf.stuba.sk From: mikusiak@elf.stuba.sk (Lubos Mikusiak) Subject: TrueType Z Font on PRG archive server Content-Type: text Message-ID: <199405171322.AA12021@elf.stuba.sk> Date: Tue, 17 May 1994 15:22:34 +0100 (MET DST) X-Mailer: mail-news 2.0.3 Content-Length: 890 Lines: 23 Dear Z-forum, there is a new TrueType Z font placed on the Oxford PRG archive server. You might retreive it as "zfont.zip" (PKZIPed file) or or "zfont.zip.uu" (PKZIPed, then UUENCODEd file). I can also send it directly to you if you send me an email. The first 128 characters (glyphs) of Z Font are similar to Times New Roman Italic, but less slanted. The characters from 160 contain Z symbols. Characters from 249 to 255 contain schema box characters, so you can use this font to type the whole Z schemas. "zfont.zip" and "zfont.zip.uu" contain also WinWord 2.0 document template which makes easier to type Z schemas, and files with Z Font character map which you can print PS or HP II printers.
