Summer Intership at UCSB

Dear Colleagues,

The UC Santa Barbara Center for Bio-Image Informatics is accepting undergraduate applications for an 8-week summer fellowship to participate in actual research projects in bioinformatics.

The undergraduate should have 3.0 GPA or better and have at least one more year to finish their degrees. They should also be willing to learn, hard working, and have an inquisitive mind.

Please ask your students to apply directly to the Center, see their Web site at http://www.bioimage.ucsb.edu and click on "Outreach and Training" and then "Summer Internships."

If you know of any qualified students, please encourage them to apply. This is our 5th year of participation in the Center's summer fellowships. This is also the last year of the summer internship as the Center's NSF grant will expire this coming summer. All former interns had very good research experiences and improved computing skills when they came back from the internship.
