1.Citrix Wintel Platform- Department implement changes in both the Wintel and Citrix space. Present changes to national CAB, document and submit requests for change using Remedy application. Perform maker, checker and/or verifier functions for changes. Consult with clients and attend project meetings as requested. Attend meeting with Engineering and other groups in enterprise engineering and enterprise operations. Interns will master change management process. Develop Wintel and Citrix skills, peer review internal control books, assist in documenting Citrix environment, learn work flow process as it relates to 8000+ Wintel server environment. Demonstrate the ability to perform maker function on non-production changes. 8-5pm, schedule can be adjusted, internship will be in Corona.
2.Processing Services- Department has variety of functions and responsibilities. One of primary functions is to assist in maintaining a high level of availability. Interns will work with senior analysts to learn the Kaiser processes in administering the services demanded by our business partners that insure delightful customer experiences while being transparent delivering the best possible healthcare. Interns will work with a diverse group of individuals and will be given the opportunity to learn the value and importance of working in a team atmosphere on a daily basis. They will get exposure to our Remedy Database to review and understand change and problems. The will also get exposure to monitoring production environments from the different platforms active. They will learn how to troubleshoot real time problems and contribute ideas for solutions. Interns will be required to ask questions and complete independent assignments to demonstrate they grasp the rapid amount of information we provide. The pace within Processing Services is very rigorous and fast pace but we offer an environment that is challenging and rewarding as a technical extension of providing patient Healthcare. 8-5pm, City: Corona
3.Systems Management- Department provides development and support for systems tools, with a primary focus on the Systems of Record, Asset Management Database, Configuration Database, and Knowledge base. Interns will team with departmental staff member to develop and deploy upgrades to Asset Management Database, Asset Center. Interns will write scripts and develop interfaces between Asset Center and other systems of record. 8-5pm City: Corona
4.Quality Assurance- QA team is to provide testing, certification, verification and best practices for messaging infrastructure, Wintel workstation and server infrastructure, and enterprise infrastructure tools. Interns will be responsible for the following project: Develop, document, and execute QA/Test Plans for validating Wintel component changes for production release, build out test environments, develop and run test simulations (manual and automated), report test results and defects to Engineering and track to ensure closure of defects, assess the state of QA environments to reflect production, document QA process and procedures. 8-5 City: Corona.
Requirements for all internships is GPA 2.8 or better, graduating in 2010 or later, US citizens or permanent residents. Drug testing is required, full background investigation including criminal, social security, GPA and employment verification.
